I find her dull too, I prefer female voices like Tarja Turunen, Heidi Parviainen, Cristina Scabbia, and now I have a brain black-out so I can't remember the others.

My missus got tickets for her last week. She had a bout three browser windows open and got them after about 3 hours of trying.

I'm now stuck at a malfunctioning captchca where the text shown is 'Solve Media Puzzle Challenge' with a little picture icon beside it! Entering in the text displayed fails! 15 minutes later the captchca seems to be working correctly, but entering the text displayed fails...I could see once, but a dozen times in a row??? I even threw quite a few expletives at it, and a sql injection just for kicks. Finally after half an hour, I switched to IE and it works!...but now no more tickets! Oh well, I was able to get one at least, so now I only half-failed at the task!

If you wait till nearer the time - you should be able to get one for relatively cheap. People buy them to sell on at an extortionate rate and try to immediately sell them on for a huge profit. Of course most people won't pay it so they get stuck with tickets they don't want. As the concert draws nearer they reduce them so you should be able to pick them up for face-value.

90% of the tickets will have been bought by "scalpers", so you'll still be able to go as long as you don't mind paying 50x the ticket price. These people are ruining the live music industry.

Ruining it for whom? The artist sells out irrespective and everybody gets paid. Fools are parted from their money as they thoroughly deserve to be. Economic theorists get to say "I told you so". Capitalism chalks up another successful day. It all seems to be working pretty much the way it should do surely?
Of course, it may mean that you personally don't get to see as many concerts as you might like but who are you to stand in the way of the acquisition of wealth? Hmm?

..My boy was doing his homework last night, craftwork - creating a greetings card to celebrate one of the Winter festivals being held around the world (Lohri - not that it matters to the story). Anyway he was obviously rushing because he thought he would get more x-box time afterwards. So recalling a story with a moral we had read recently I said
"Remember. Slow and Steady wins the race" He looked at me like I had just licked a window and said "That's just the Egg and Spoon race Daddy".
Couldn't really argue with him on that one.

A number of years ago I was talking to a woman I knew in the car park of a supermarket, her young son picked something up off the floor (I think it may have been an elastic band) and she said to him "Put that down, you don't know where it's been". So he toddled over to where he had picked it up and pointed to the spot, showing her that he did indeed know exactly where it had been.
