Does anyone really know what gives with VS2010 and smart device development for WM 6.5 and prior?
I know it supports Win Phone 7, but we support bar code scanning devices, like the ones you see used in big retail stores for inventory tracking. These are all WM 6.5 or EARLIER. Even brand new devices are WM 6.1. Besides, they aren't phones.
I keep reading not supported, but then there are MS blogs that state this is a rumor while MS has pages on their web site that say
it's not supported. Huh?
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/sa69he4t(VS.100).aspx[^]
But then there is this.
http://www.windowsfordevices.com/c/a/News/Visual-Studio-2010-will-allow-mobile-development-Microsoft-affirms/[^]
We downloaded a trial of VS2010 Professional, and don't see any suppport for smart devices. Downloaded the WM 6.5 SDK, and still don't see hooks. No emulators, nothing. So if you read the second link, where's the beef?
Am I missing something?

Probably, but you may find it on one of the Microsoft forums.
I must get a clever new signature for 2011.

1. VS2010 doesnot supports WM 6.5 development
2. VS2010 supports Windows Phone 7 support, via its Express edition. http://www.microsoft.com/express/Phone/[^]
3. Windows Phone 7, development tools are only available in C# and Silverlight.
4. Windows Phone 7, doesnot support native apis.
5. You can download the Express Phone edition from the above link, it will work with VS 2010 Professional edition.

I don't know the complete answer to your question, 'cause I'm not very literate in C#, however... I don't see any timers, and I don't see you returning anything to verify something was found.
I would have expected to see at least a 'for' loop.
Also, is the radio even turned on? BluetoothRadio.PrimaryRadio.Mode would set it I think.
Sorry for not helping your exact question, but I think this might get you on the right path. Maybe an expert could chime in and help more (Or at least let you know if I was completely off-base here...lol).

Hello GoldSoft,
In the windows mobile OS is responsible to access the available connection on your device either that is GPRS or WiFi or your device is connected with the computer system. In this case if your application is making request to server that time OS will take care which connection is using.
