i've created an user control with two textboxes. i've add it in a page at run time in pages load event as
UserControl uc = null;

protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if (!Page.IsPostBack)
{
uc = (UserControl)LoadControl("UserControl/data.ascx");
PlaceHolder1.Controls.Add(uc);
}
}
but after pst back it dis aapears. what is the reason? i've to collect values of text boxes of user conter after post back.

|
The if (!Page.IsPostBack) makes your uc 'disapear'
Remove the 'if' and you're done...

You won't be able to collect the values in your textbox, because by PageLoad, your viewstate has been loaded and restored without those values. Why are you adding it dynamically ?

If he adds the control dynamicly OnInit the values will be restored and the control will be working fine...
|
|
|
|
|
True, because it will be before page load. But, if it gets added every time, why not just do it in the ASPX ?
