Where are you stuck? Do you have any specific problems?
It's pretty simple to do, dock the treeview on the left, dock a panel on the right. Subscribe to the AfterSelect event on the treeview and add the appropriate control to the panel on the right.

The ~ character is used as a wildcard in some cases.
Is the folder named "~WebApplication1" or "WebApplication1"? If it is the later, just remove the ~ character.

The folder is "WebApplication" only.The issue came while audit.I can't restrict them to enter ~ before directory.
Is there any way to handle this type of request(say in global.asax.cs file) so that we can get it done.
Thanks,

Are they typing this in the the URL? Or are they entering this as some parameter on a form? ...?

If I use WellKnownObjectMode.SingleCall, I will have an object created on the server for each function call to the server. If I use WellKnownObjectMode.Singleton, I will have only one object created on the server for all function calls to the server..... Now I have a problem that I want to make 1 object/client on the remote server... i.e. if a client is connected then there is on object made for it, no matter how many function calls he make. Similarly, there should be made another object if another client connects and that object be used for as many function calls, this client makes and so on... Do you have any solutions or design to this problem, any one??

Hi All,
am using C# GDI+ to draw a huge amount of data... for now say, am drawing some sample 6MB of data which takes almost 5 seconds.. can anyone help me in optimizing this so as to reduce the time it takes....
am using a recrsive function for drawing.. drawrectange, drawpolygon, fillpolygon are the 3 functions i use...
thanks in advance,
Hariharan.T

Are you sure that it's the actual drawing that takes time? What do you do with the image once it's drawn?
Why are you using a recursive function for drawing?

I need help in remoting. Im doing this proyect, I already have the client server connection and everything. But what Im missing is that I need for the server to access the object that, the server, makes for the client.
Let me explain. The server makes the object to be remote. The client gets a refrence of that object. The clients makes all the data in the refrences. What I need is that the server can access that object so I can get the data from the client and send it to the database.
Please I need help from someone as soon as posible.
Thanks..!

I have a service that uses a dedicated port #. This service can be installed in one or more computers on the subnet. Anybody knows of a simple code that allows me to detect the port # and how many are running (same subnet or accros the router will be fine)
Any help will be greatly appreciated

You don't know the port on which the app is running?

The port number is constant, it does not change.

If you have recorded its physical path, then I think you may format the string and copy the text that is \, and then you can display the text as its name.
"Praying." Is this only what I can do for him ?

Ok here is a summary of what the program is doing.
Am calling a child process called Helloworld from a parent process builder using the command line
> Builder.exe c:/helloworld.exe c:/log.txt
Before i capture the output on the helloworld from the builder(before i used the UseShellExecute and RedirectStandardOutput, it used to show both processes on the screen.
but after i capture the output on the helloworld from the builder, it no longer shows the child process (helloworld)
here is the code snippet
anyone has an idea why it does not show it, and if yes, how should i do it.
...
....
p = new Process();
p.StartInfo.FileName = targetFile;
p.StartInfo.CreateNoWindow = false;
p.StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = true;
p.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = false;
p.StartInfo.WindowStyle = ProcessWindowStyle.Normal;
p.Start();
pStartTime = (p.StartTime.ToString());
processOutput = p.StandardOutput.ReadToEnd();
p.WaitForExit();
pEndTime = (p.ExitTime.ToString());
p.Close();
...
...
PLEASE HELP !!
Thanks

Hello,
I created a database in Access and then protected it (Tools->Securityy->Set Database Password).
After that, I created a new WinForm C# application and in the designer I dragged an OleDbConnection to the form, set the connection string to use the previously created database and to use the password (I used Jet 4.0 OleDbProvider).
All well, but when I hit "Test Connection" I receive this:
"Test connection failed because of an error in intializing provider.
Cannot start your application. The workgroup information file is missing
or opened exclusively by another user."
Access is closed...no one is using the file.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Me again...I forgot to mention that I can connect to the database from source code with this connection string:
ConnectionString="Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0; Data Source="+AppPath+"; Jet OLEDB:Database Password=abc";
Is this a bug in .NET IDE?

Hi!
What's the value of AppPath? This should be the full path to the mdb-file, but if it's really only your application's path that'll be a problem...

Hi,
Yes, it is the full path to .mdb file.
I dont have any problems connecting to the database from source code (this works OK)...the problem is I can't do it from the designer (when you set the properties of the connection string of a OleDbConnection and when you press the "Test Connection" button).
Thanks

MessageBox.Show("Hello world");
MessageBox.Show("Welcome to C#");
Of course, you need to import the System.Windows dll and be using System.Windows.Forms.
