how/where is the data stored in the first place? if it isn't then I suggest storing it using c# to the mysql database. then you can retrieve it from the db using php webpages.

its just stored in RAM at the moment. i have a mysql database on the server, so should i use the MYSQL connector to connect to it and send the data that way?

hi,
I am uploading file and encoded it with ffmpeg and saving three encoded files(flv, mpg, mov) on Red5 server. All the things are going well for videos less than 13MB. but when i am going to upload large files, got an error on mozilla of connection lost. Even i have increased post_max_size=1024M ,execution time=1000000 and upload_max_filesize=1024M.....
Regards

If I remember rightly 1024M != 1024MB. 102400 = 10MB. I'll let you do the math. if that doesnt work I know I got it working with swfupload.

Do you really expect a community of people to just believe that there is a "challenge" to hack a website? And if we do, we should just PM a user with a message?
Go away, you stupid tool.

Alright, I've created a PhP page that takes the data from a field and e-mails that data to a specified user. It also sends a conformation e-mail to the person who filled in the form.
The problem is I can not get it to work when either the specified user or the person filling out the form is from an out of house e-mail address (I'm at a business).
I know the code works because I can move the page to my personal server and it works with any e-mail addresses, no problem.
Naturally, I figure it's a setting in PhP on the server that is stopping the outgoing mail. But, I do not have access to the PhP settings to change them - its a large business, and one guy alone does the PhP setting stuff. I want to try to get this to work without having to change a setting in the PhP.
I've heard about work around scripts to get this to work. Any ideas/input would be greatly appreciated.
<?php
$email = $_POST["emailaddress"]; // defines user email address from previous page
$mailto = "me@mywebsite.com"; // person who gets the information in the email
$d = getdate();
$t = gettimeofday();
$mailsubj = "Information";
$mailhead = "From: $email\n";
reset ($HTTP_POST_VARS);
$status = true;
$errorStatement = "";
?>
<table width="600" height="500" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">

if it works from local addresses, send from a local address and use a "reply-to" header.

Hi everyone, i want to transfer a file from windows to linux system using perl script..please help me.
Thanks in Advance.

For two computers to talk both computers need running applications that communicate.
So your first step is to determine what applications the source and target machines will have.
As an example a FTP server and an FTP client.

Thanks Jschell..yes i'm using FTP Server & FTP Client..i tried some scripts,but it didn't work.Please could you send any working perl script for file transfer.
It is very much needed for our project.

I am using wget[^] to pull the security camera jpeg images off my office FTP server and copy them to a remote site. Perhaps you could do the same.

Hi,
you can try Net::FTP module. It's a very efficient and simple way to work with ftp in Perl. If you want to just upload some files from a shell script, without using Perl, you can use wput to upload or wget to download. But I think that using Perl with Net::FTP is better.

When I tried to execute
resize -s 50 50
on GNOME Terminal it will give me error "resize: Can't get rows and columns "
The same thing is working on putty terminal as well as xterm.
Is there ant equivalent command or any other way to do this task?

There's a command line tool called wmctrl which allows you to interact with the windwows manager, and it allows you to resize windows programmatically. It might be the tool you're looking for.
You can install it via yum or apt-get or source, depending of course on the distro you're using.
Then you can resize a window with:
wmctrl -r "window title" -e 0,-1,-1,width,height
It won't let you specify number of columns and rows, but will only work with pixels, so I hope it will be ok with you anyway.
2+2=5 for very large amounts of 2
(always loved that one hehe!)

Hi,
I have to develop XML parser and i am using c,c++, lex and yacc and there are so many c++ programs are there in one folder and main program is editor.cpp and if i run this program is that ok..
Can i run that any where under any directory.
is there only g++ command to run c++ code or any other method is available.
Thanks for any help...

No, there is, for example, the Intel compiler set(icc).
However, as long as you assume that "g++ runs c++ code", I would suggest getting an introduction course first. C++ is a compiler, and as such, the binary output of the compiler itself is an executable. The compiler just translates it to machine code.
If you are overwhelmed by the magnitude of the task, you might need to work on the basics first:
What is C++? What is C? What does a compiler do? What does lex do? And yacc? How is an XML-file built? How do you read it? Could you read it yourself? What are the steps involved in reading? How do you write these steps in C? C++? etc.
Cheers,
Sebastian

Are you doing for academic purpose? If not, I would recommend some existing XML libraries like TinyXML rather than reinventing wheel.
Looks like you have no idea about what you are trying to do. Learn some basic stuff. Get a good IDE, Code::Blocks is a good one for beginners. Also learn toolchain[^] before you start some serious programming on LINUX.

If I understand correctly, the thing you want to do it to create a symlink to your program in some directory that is "in the path".
this can be done as such:
<br />
ln -s PATH_TO_THE_PROGRAM /usr/local/bin<br />
where PATH_TO_THE_PROGRAM would be, for example "/home/username/myprograms/myprogram"
and for "/usr/local/bin" this is dependant on what dist you are using.
writing echo $PATH in the command line will tell you what directories are on the path.

Hi,
This isn't really specific to linux only, but I couldn't find a messageboard for general command line.
What I am trying to do is change my directory based on a search. Is there any way to do this?
For example, let's say there's a directory:
C:\Windows\RandomDir1\8732434234
and my local directory on the command line is just C:\Windows\RandomDir1\.
Instead of using grep or find to first find 8732434234 and then use cd to change to that directory, can I combine the 2 commands to do this in 1 line?
What I do now is:
dir | find /i "873", then copy result and change dir manually.
Thanks for the help, I'm kind of newbie at this
