Hi All,
I have a repeater that uses an XML file as its datasource.
I want to add 2 of the retrieved values.
How would i do this without messing with the DataSet in code behind?
<ItemTemplate>
<td>
<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "ISLTournamentBuyIn")%> + <%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "ISLTournamentFee")%>
</td>
</ItemTemplate>
Thanks.

The easiest way to do this would be to get a data table from the dataset, add two new rows and bind the repeater. That way you aren't changing the dataset but you are getting the results you want.
I didn't get any requirements for the signature

Hi Todd,
Thanks for your response.
While your solution is one that will work i eventually found a way to do it all front end
<ItemTemplate>
<td><%#(Convert.ToInt32(Eval("Column1")) +Convert.ToInt32(Eval("Column2"))/100)%></td>
</ItemTemplate>
Thanks again.

Hi, I'm using ASP.NET cache in my web application, I cache objects with sliding expiration, is there anyway I could access an object without causing the sliding expiration to be reset? (something like peek instead of get), I need to do this in some parts of my application, it's really annoying that there's no something like peek!

I am writing a Survey that is going to be sent out to users Via Email that is being Generated from my ASP.Net 2.0 application.
I want to have the link that the user opens up be the equivalent of a PopupWindow in the respect to the fact that they can do nothing related to the browser because everything but the content of the page is hidden.
I am not figuring out how to accomplish this and would like some input please.
Thank you.

<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td>put image here</td>
<td><hr style="color:Blue; width:10px;" /></td>
<td>put image here</td>

Put a border on one side of one of the images.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.

Is it possible to do data data binding in Classic ASP. If so, are there any good examples on the web or any on the tip of your brains?
Any help is more than welcome

Hi,
This is the way i usually bind data to asp controls
<%
'get friends
getFriendsSQL = "SELECT [ID], [Name] FROM Friends ORDER BY [Name] ASC"
set friendsRS = searchConn.execute(getFriendsSQL)
if not friendsRS.eof then
friendsCheck = friendsRS.getRows
friendsCount = ubound(friendsCheck,2)
end if
%>
<select name="friendSelect">
<option value="0">- -<i>Select Friend</i>- -</option>
<% if isArray(friendsCheck) then
for u = 0 to friendsCount
%>
<option value="<%= friendsCheck(0, u) %>"><%= friendsCheck(1, u) %></option>
<%
next
end if %>
</select>
Hope this helps.
