Hi
I am having a ajax auto complete extender in my aspx page attached to a textbox, when the user type something in the text box it is showing options but it is taking half of a second
What i want to achieve is that when user starts typing at the same time it should show the options
because of that half second it seems to be slow
Please if anyone knows how to do this then please do let me know

Hi!
The auto extender has options for how often the search in the webservice should be made. try changing those.

as i mention above a modalpopup extender i open a new panel and panel is opned and i have a button add to add new data in database but its not working and when i use debugging to check what happen then cursor is not reached that position. is it possible or not?

Hi!
Have you tried to remove OnOkScript="onOk()". I have had problems mixing OkScript on client side with the code behind button onclick handler.
Also, i assume that you have a button control names btn_add which is AutoPostBack="true" and you have a OnClicked event connected to is?
otherwise, I need more information about your problem te be able to help.

but value is not stored in database as u suggest that i remove OnOkScript="onOk()" i remove but problem still there.

so my question:
do you want to store tha data to the database when you open your modal or when you close it?
do you have a button to close it? since the button i asked for does not exist:

and according to the modal popup extender, this button, or something with the same name should close the modal.

there is a dropdown listbox having bound with database if user want new data then click a linkbutton on myform and when i click on this button a panel is open through modal popup. panel which is open through modal popup having a textbox and a button. when i click on this button i want that textbox value enter into the database and return to the form which out modal popup. means this will add a new data in database and new datafill in dropdown list box. if still you confused i will send you whole page and code i used. thanks to reply me.

Hi,
We are using your WnvBarcodeControl.dll for generating barcode. which is working perfectly in windows xp but in Windows Vista it is not working and showing nothing (an unknow image just a red cross mark)
I checked all the config settings and code it is okay because it is working in Windows Xp. So, is there any other setting require for Windows Vista or what.
So we are in big trouble, please tell me how to solve this problem

I want to retrive those images/files and display it in my project...,
My project file in another server...,
Suppose we have to get datas from another server means we will use webservice concept...,
Like that we have to get images & some other files means what concept we have to go for it?,
Eg:

3 File
This 3 files have to integrate and show it in one page...,
How to do that?,

I have the following statement in asp .net
bool isChecked = ((CheckBox)row.FindControl("CheckBox1")).Checked;
it doesn't work in classic asp, FindControl causes a compiler error.
Can someone tell me what the equivalent would be in asp
I tried control , but that didnt' work.
I'm essentially trying to get the value of the Checkbox, checked.
It is a checkbox on a datatabase that I am trying to determine which rows of data the checkbox is checked.

I think in traditional asp you have to do something like Request.Form["CheckBox1"].
Using .Net code on asp will not work.

So here is the basic idea behind my question:
I am creating a personal website where I will be able to post news about what I am doing(it will also be used for professional purposes) but what I would like to be able to do is have a textbox to enter my News entries and type them how I would like to have them formatted in the textbox, and then when I submit it to the Database it will keep the formatting so that when I pull it back from the database to put it in the news section it keeps the formatting. Basically how a message board Text: section works.
Can anyone give me an idea of how to do this or maybe a plugin I can put on my site to do this for me?

In vb (I know - I hear you groaning), trying to send .net (I’m using .net 2) appointment to Groupwise (Novell says it accepts iCal and iMip services). Tried a version, got the email, but when I clicked on the attachment, nothing appeared as an appointment. So, tried again, and now I get a whole new calendar (can have multiple calendars in Groupwise, e.g. work, personal) when I click on the ics file - but still no appointment. Any help appreciated...
