I have not seen this one either.
so my question:
do you want to store tha data to the database when you open your modal or when you close it?
do you have a button to close it? since the button i asked for does not exist:

and according to the modal popup extender, this button, or something with the same name should close the modal.

there is a dropdown listbox having bound with database if user want new data then click a linkbutton on myform and when i click on this button a panel is open through modal popup. panel which is open through modal popup having a textbox and a button. when i click on this button i want that textbox value enter into the database and return to the form which out modal popup. means this will add a new data in database and new datafill in dropdown list box. if still you confused i will send you whole page and code i used. thanks to reply me.

Hi,
We are using your WnvBarcodeControl.dll for generating barcode. which is working perfectly in windows xp but in Windows Vista it is not working and showing nothing (an unknow image just a red cross mark)
I checked all the config settings and code it is okay because it is working in Windows Xp. So, is there any other setting require for Windows Vista or what.
So we are in big trouble, please tell me how to solve this problem

My client server having some images/files,
I want to retrive those images/files and display it in my project...,
My project file in another server...,
Suppose we have to get datas from another server means we will use webservice concept...,
Like that we have to get images & some other files means what concept we have to go for it?,
Eg:

This 3 files have to integrate and show it in one page...,
How to do that?,

I have the following statement in asp .net

it doesn't work in classic asp, FindControl causes a compiler error.
Can someone tell me what the equivalent would be in asp
I tried control , but that didnt' work.
I'm essentially trying to get the value of the Checkbox, checked.
It is a checkbox on a datatabase that I am trying to determine which rows of data the checkbox is checked.

I think in traditional asp you have to do something like Request.Form["CheckBox1"].
Using .Net code on asp will not work.

So here is the basic idea behind my question:
I am creating a personal website where I will be able to post news about what I am doing(it will also be used for professional purposes) but what I would like to be able to do is have a textbox to enter my News entries and type them how I would like to have them formatted in the textbox, and then when I submit it to the Database it will keep the formatting so that when I pull it back from the database to put it in the news section it keeps the formatting. Basically how a message board Text: section works.
Can anyone give me an idea of how to do this or maybe a plugin I can put on my site to do this for me?

In vb (I know - I hear you groaning), trying to send .net (I’m using .net 2) appointment to Groupwise (Novell says it accepts iCal and iMip services). Tried a version, got the email, but when I clicked on the attachment, nothing appeared as an appointment. So, tried again, and now I get a whole new calendar (can have multiple calendars in Groupwise, e.g. work, personal) when I click on the ics file - but still no appointment. Any help appreciated... Hi,
The following error did occur after when I choosed "Clean project" and then "rebuild project" from Build menu. Now I am not able to run any file. I have been getting the following error message. I am using VS 2008. In the project properties, the compile output directory is set to "bin". However it is still wirting under Debug directory because "Debug" mode is set to true in webconfig file.
I can't go back and rebuild the project because the following error. I use Visual Studio Development server (not IIS Local server). The following error is a subject for every page I have under my project directory. WHO CAN RESCUE ME?

try looking at the class name in ur aspx.cs page, is it adm_add_customer or something else. Look closely at this. I think u'll find the answer. The inherits attribute in Page is meant to hold the class name that'll hold the backend code.

Hi!
Two things:
First:
I assume that your codebehind class is in the namespace rentaholiday as i stated in your aspx page.
second.
I have seen this problem when i'm trying to rename a class that i have created with another name. When doing so the hidden design code of the aspx page is not always changing name.
Mostly the problem occurs when you try to rename the class by just changing the name in the cs file and then useing the little wizzard to help you change name.
The work around for this seams to be to use the right click -> refactor -> rename, and then check all boxes and do the renameing.

Thanks for responding. Actually I didn't rename the files. When I cleaned the project and then rebuild it, all the files got messed up. Yesterday I decided to remove the webconfig file and then tried to browse one of the page, it reproduced the webconfig file.
I checked all the pages and saw that there were no poiniting errors in pages at 1st line anymore. However now I am facing with another problem. The problem is in backend class files that is associated with the aspx page. It doesn't recognize TYPE SYSTEM.WEB.UI.HTMLCONTGROLS.HTMLHEAD definition even it is defined inside the webconfig file.
I have a question for you. Do I have to define a namespace in webconfig file for the project as RENTAHOLIDAY.

I'm not sure about the namespace thing in the web.config file. but i think not.
i have never exlicitly defined a project namespace in the cfg file.
and i don't know how to resolve the problem you have now.
i would try to create a new project and the include all my filed and hope that the web.config file i generated properly.

Hi all,
I was wondering the best way to implement a help system for a medium sized website. It’s been created using ASP.NET and I was wondering what people recommended for implementing help? I want the help to be automatically generated if possible (does .NET have these capabilities?). I was thinking of something like it would check if help was available for the current page and if so would display it.
I was thinking that I could use a resource file for each page I want to have help then have a popup that is displayed if the user clicks on a help icon (this Icon would only be displayed if there was help available – i.e. res file there).
Is there a better way to implement help?

Hi: I have the following tasks,what i am looking is an idea to implement the foolowing task
1 "Text only search " in which the the text content is stored with metadata,if users keyword exactly matches or relativelly matches with my metadata ,Particular text content will b displayed.
2 "Image only search " in which the the image content is stored with metadata,if users keyword exactly matches or relativelly matches with my metadata ,Particular image will b displayed.
3 Now " Image and Text search " in this scenario i think the above metadata idea is blunt.So can any one suggest me how to solve this issue.
Ex:
My user enters "BatMan" in " Image and Text " search now i have to disaply him Bat Man part1,Part2 ...Images with contents.

Hi,
I am working on a tool in ASP.NET 2.0 which gets the list of application pools, binds it to the drop down list and finally recycles it depending on the application pool selected by the user. And also resets IIS. When i run the application using the deveploment server it works fine and does all the job but when i host it on the IIS server and try to run it, the page gets load with all the controls in it like drop down, buttons etc..but the list of application pools is not getting populated to the drop down. First i thought it was a permission issue so worked around giving permissions to the user accessing it and also blocked windows firwall but still the problem exists. Can anyone help me on this as soon as possile??

It doesnt show ant error..when i run the application from iis its loads the page with all controls in it..like dropdown,buttons..but the list of application pools which need to bind to the dropdown is not getting populated..any u help wit it??
