I'm maintaining some old VB6 code (eventually will be moving to VS2008)
It has many circular references between objects.
I'm looking for a way to enumerate the outstanding object references remaining at the program end to be able to verify that the circular references are all disposed of properly.
Also, is there a way to get some notification or callback with a reference is defined?
Thanks,
Chuck

It sounds like you've got a serious design problem. Except in a limited number of cases, an object graph should not have circular references, unless absolutely necessary. I would highly recommend rewriting the app to remove this condition if at all possible.

There is no such event or callback to subscribe to unless the class that you're instantiating supplies it.

Hi all,
i want to traverse n-ary tree?
can someone help me please?

That's pretty general. Do you have any more specific information for your context?

What statistics are you looking for?? Did you look at the code samples for each class, such as the IpGlobalStatistics??
|
|
|
|
|
I looked at the IPGlobalProperties class but i think its too broad. I am looking to view the SYN -ACK request packets in the TCP backlog queue and looking to view the amounts of UDP packets.
|
|
|
|
|
The stats you want are not kept in those classes, nor are they, if my research is correct, kept in the underlying network layers. I think you may be forced to write your own packet filter and generate these stats yourself by inspecting individual packets.

Ooo ok thanks, do you have any suggested readings that can guide me to creating my own packet filter
|
|

Not really. But you can start by Googling for "WinPCap".

Im looking at TcpStatistics/UDP Class but not sure if it will specify SYN/ACK or UDP packets

I have to admit, if you were offering a cash prize, I might be motivated to guess, but right now I have no idea what the hell you're asking for, except that you're in the wrong forum, as this appears to be an ASP.NET question.

Hello Experts,
I want a code that will focus to the first cell of grid from it's last cell.

DatagridView1.ClearSelection()
please help me.
Thanking You,

You could try something like
DataGridView1.CurrentCell() = DataGridView1.Rows(0).Cells(0)
' you might also have to add, depending on size/number of rows/columns
DataGridView1.FirstDisplayedCell() = DataGridView1.Rows(0).Cells(0)
I haven't tested it, but it should work.

There's a task scheduler in windows, I believe. Or you can write a service which launches your app.
