Both are different in first sentence you are assigning string to varA and in second one you are checking VarA is equal to given string or not

Sorry, that's not a coherent sentence. What are you caching ? Where are you caching it ? What happens when you push a button ?

hello, there,
I want to trigger a server side button click from client side javascript code. I searched the Internet, but I could not find a solution.
I learned it seems I need to call _postback function. But I could not find more details.
function Button2_onclick() {
__doPostBack('<%=Button1.UniqueID%>', 'onclick');
}
I put this in the client side code. but I got server side errors.
Please let me know that how to solve this problem.

But Dialog "Add Project Output Group" shows only contents files.
And if remove using filter then after installing aspx page gives error about cs file.

In Add project output group,
Make sure that the webproject is selected on the combobox
Then Select Primary output, localized resources and content files by pressing the combination CTRL key + Mouse's left button.

HI guys,
i have added the following code snippet in the web.config to authenticate the users.

but the problem is this,in form authentication mode can we have a page which can skip this authentication check. i.e. i would like to exempt one form from the authentication check. would you tell how i can make it possible.

Hi,
I m working on crystal report in asp.net 2005.
Page type is landscape of my report.
Problem i m facing is whatever i place at footer section,that data is shown correctly in report but when i take the print out then the footer information appear in new page.
I have already suppress all non required field.
Even if my data in report of two or three lines still the information on footer appear on next page.
I havent checked insert page before at footer but at Group Header1 i have set insert page before so that my report begin Group wise from new page.
Pls help me to find the solution

Try to remove extra spaces after the fileds.

Sir,
i have already suppressed unused sections and also compressed all fields as much as they can be.
The problem occurs whn i change my report page setup to landscape while taking hte printout from printpreivew option.Then page footer section create show that information in new page.
I've set my crystal report printer setup to landscape while creating the report but while printing it from internet explorer i have to convert page setup to landscape again.If i show print without changing page setup to landscape then it shows footer information at the end of same page but when i change it to landscape then footer information move to next page.
Pls see the problem...

Hello, there,
I'd like to know how I can change the rowState in GridView.
I want to set every row to the edit state when open the gridview control.
I made changes to rowCreated function of the grid view to change every datarow to the Edit state. But the it is not working at all.
The following are the code.
If (e.Row.RowType = DataControlRowType.DataRow) Then
e.Row.RowState = DataControlRowState.Edit
End If
Will you please tell me what I should do to make it happen?

Haven't tried this but if you want your gridview to be in the edit state by default, why not use use template columns and textboxes for your itemtemplates?

Hi all! I'm not able to get connected to Sql server 2005 from ASP.net 2.0 application which is HTTP based. When I run the code I get these errors
Login failed for user 'NIT\ASPNET'. (where NIT is system name)<br />

'con.ServerVersion' threw an exception of type 'System.InvalidOperationException'<br />
<br />
This is my connection string.<br />
<add key="strCon" value="Data source=localhost;Initial catalog=Anything;uid=;pwd=;Integrated security =SSPI;"/>
I've tried everthing in book, Like Trusted_connection = true also but to no avail.Problem is my another application which is File based running on a random port number assigned by ASP.net runs smoothly. After googling I could not come with something worthwhile.
