Not to pry, but did Smitha relocate with you to Canada? Or are you stuck in the icy tundra alone?

That’s good, someone with you to enjoy the chilly Canadian evenings.

Yep, a couple of years ago, when I was in Mountain View (CA), I was so home sick, I simply wanted to go back. This time, since I am not alone, life is quite good

You ever gonna make a trip back here to CA...maybe a bit further south?
Picture a huge catholic cathedral. In it there's many people, including a gregorian monk choir. You know, those who sing beautifully. Then they start singing, in latin, as they always do: "Ad hominem..."

One thing I've promised Smitha is that we would visit Mountain View and nearby areas, so I could show her where I used to work and live for those 7 months
If we ever get to doing that, I guess we'd also be able to come down to LA and perhaps a little further south too. Hope to see you then, David.

Except coding all weekend and partying.
Although this past weekend, I was too lethargic to do anything at all but veg.
Weekends are now a time to spend as little time near the computer as is possible. (Although that may change when Civ4 turns up)
I much prefer now to spend my time with friends and family, or catching up with the chores. I get so little free-time now I'm going out to work everyday rather than working from home. I try to make the best of the little time I have, and computers don't figure too highly.

Good point, Michael. In this day and age we "want it all and we want it now" and we try to fit too much into our weekends. We want to fill our weekends yet somehow rest during a weekend at the same time.

I agree but if left to my own accord I wouldn’t leave the computer except to eat and use the restroom. I'm far too old to party…
Luckily (or not some days) the Girl friend keeps me occupied so very little time is spent on the computer on the weekends.
