2% is more females than I've met programming in the workplace. There are a few girls in the Uni groups though, and when we had someone do work experience, she was female.

I'd say that's a fairly safe assumption. But considering there are 50000+ member I think we shoudl give it a little more time.

Ok, will do. I would have done that except today is a holiday here as it's some kinda political strike and it's dangerous to go out. She doesn't have net access at home.

It's going great! On one side I have the Guru Tom and on the other I have Mister .NET. I feel same as what someone'd feel if he was asked to write a program for DOS 2.0 sitting between Bill Gates and Paul Allen.

I'm not a teetotaler; I just *rarely* drink. Counting through the number of drinks I had, I come up with 4; half of those was while I was underage
Holidays are coming up in the next few months, so that'll probably double the count.

Well you are still young. Up until my 18th birthday I had maybe drunk 5 beers at most. But from that fateful day and onwards I gave up counting. The reason? I became a waiter at a bar and any money you made was spent the same night you made it at the club down the road. Ahh those were unforgetable times.. actually I can hardly remember any of it, but they were unforgetable nonetheless
Now funnily enough I have maybe two brandys a week and thats it (unless there is a special occasion.)
