Use SharePoint SOM in asmx webservice

Hello,

I have a requirement to use SharePoint objects in asmx web service. I tried lot with Server object model, but i am not able to use it. I am getting runtime errors. Is it possible to use SOM in asmx?

I just started using CSOM (managed c#), but it will take more time to migrate all the code into CSOM. also i am not sure whether we will get all the features provided by SOM.
