So my company has two distinct camps when it comes to databases. Operations is in the Oracle camp while R&D is in the Sql Server camp.

The application group that I manage sits in the middle of this divide, storing data in Oracle, parts of which reference, by a weak PK/FK relationship, data in Sql Server. (all I can say is that it was like that when I found it)

After years of a grudging detente, wherein nobody would cross this divide, people are realizing that there is some very valuable data that can be gleaned by joining across these data sources.

So also, on one side of the divide we have users who like Oracle's SqlNavigator and Discoverer tools; and on the other MS Reporting Services.

What's a good toolset for generating reports wherein the majority of data is coming from Oracle, but Sql Server is a necessary source for look-up tables?
