Hi Friends,

I am new to mobile development and need some direction with regard to tools that I can use to develop mobile apps that are cross-platform.

just some background on me

I currently program in vb.net and have created have created web based applications.
I am familiar with html and css.
I currently use visual studio 2012.

I will need to be able to talk to web services, sql, create charts, received push notifications...


you help will be greatly appreciated..

I saw in your profile that you are thinking about mobile - look into Intel XDK. I found it very interesting...

I'm not sure I'm your man - I'm playing with mobile for learning only, but on a somewhat philosophical level I do not believe in platform dependent UI. I do all my UI web based :-)
(BTW that's why Intel XDK is interesting in my eye - you write HTML with JavaScript and the IDE compiles it to the platform of your wish...)
