How do I...i have to download file in popup page

i have to download file in popup page.there is a link button on main page.by clicking it a popup page opens and on popup page there is download button. but as page is open in popup file is not downloading.same code i am writing when page is not opening on popup then its working.

show some code ..also it may happen due to popup blocker setting on the browser itself. check if you turn on pop up blocker
