how to pass selected dropdown value from popup window to parent window without reload page

Hi guys,

I've been searched the solution for this problem but all i found is passing value with reload the parent window. i dont want the parent page to be reload because i have the item that is selected in listbox .everytime after i select the value from popup then the page is reload and the listbox item is clear...

please help me on this.i stuck on this for 3 days.

Put this section in update panel.
