Solution 1

By this you mean a tray Icon?
I suggest you include the Component from .net or create one from code as well as a ContextMenuStrip to assign to it.

NotifyIcon is under "Common Controls" and ContextMenuStrip is under "Menus and Toolbars", in Toolbox while editing a form.
