Are you serious? VB6 was dead even when it was first presented to the market. It wasn't supported by Visual Studio many years earlier than 2008.

No, but you can write VB.NET code. Unless you are doing maintenance work on an old project, don't use VB6, its better to move onto technology that is more in line with the times. Would be like trying to find a COBOL compiler to write a Windows 8 app.

There was an old joke:

The book "Using Microsoft Windows" was age-rated as "21+". Why? Classification record says: "Strong language". :-)

Please see my comment to the answer. What VB6? VB was replaced by VB.NET and not supported by Visual Studio since sirca 2002: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VB.NET[^].

Forget it, unless you like torturing yourself. :-)

Thank you, Ron.
That's the point, a torture at all times. (Probably you forgot to vote.)

CP has been wierd lately for me, most of my comments don't show up until I refresh the page and get the "Oops, there was a problem posting your comment" error. I think I did vote but not sure it went through before I refreshed the page.

It looks like this is the very recent glitch...
But before, it often happened when the server was more busy, which is unfortunately a usual problem these days. Worse, sometimes comments are not posted at all, so I would advise to copy a comment to the clipboard before each post, to be on safe side.
