System32 in XP

Do we have C:\WINDOWS\system32\drvstore or
C:\WINDOWS\system32\driverstore in Win XP??

I found it in one machine but not in another...

It is there in WIN7. What is its significance there?

Actually when I install a set up, it is behaving in different
ways in both.

I believe it is a storage area for certain windows drivers but haven't any empirical proof of this.
