Person or Group column not getting sorted alphabetically when opened in a select people dialog

Hi all,

I'm using Sharepoint foundation 2010. I created a list and added Person or Group column. In the column I've configured an existing SharePoint group. It's added well and good. I tried adding an item to the list, I noticed that when I click the people picker icon in the Person or Group field, names of the users present in the group are not sorted alphabetically. I tried to find out whether there are any settings that could solve this issue. There are no such settings in the list level or column level. If anyone have come across this problem and have a solution or work around please do help me.
