Looking to rotate an image with some realistic sense - on a skewed horizontal plane with user eye level, imagine a spinning flying disc or helicopter blades.

I.e. not a flat rotation like a spinner, but something that gets bigger when it its facing your disappears as it spins back, like you're viewing a spinning airport radar from a distance - on a skewed horizontal plane with eye level.

looking for a realistic effect / look with an icon or an image, where it looks like its rotating in 2.5D with HTML

Can this done with HTML5 simply, with out a canvas.
Can you share an example with either canvas or straight HTML5 trickery
