issues after modification of a project made in older version of VS in a new version

I have developed a website in visual studio 2010 and then modified it in VS 2012. But then again i had to use VS 2010 to do modifications. Now a "DLL" having same name as project name also a file of type "PDB" having same name as project have been created in the bin folder automatically when i opened the website in VS 2010. Why is it so?
