How do i stop page from refreshing?

Is there a way to stop a page from refreshing? Because i'm using a countdown timer which restarts anytime i refresh the page. Or is there a another way to handle that problem? Please help

First off i do not know of a way to not get a page to not refresh. but you can handle the postback and set the timer as a session variable.
