How do I make a nice little button in the right side of the taskbar?

Problem:
I don't understand how to make an icon at the right side of the taskbar

What I have tried:

A LOT OF THINGS! All of them error, of course.

My Goal:
I want to make a new icon in this dropup (idk what to call it) menu thingy like in the attached image
