how to install android SDK

Hi friends .....

I have download Android SDK from following Link

http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html[^]

When i start SDK Manager.exe then nothing happens, it just shows Command prompt for few seconds.

Can any body help how should i start.
I am new to it.

Solution 1

Make sure you download the right exe package for your os platform.

After that you will be good to go with all the resources from the developer.android site.

I solved it..

Actually it was looking for Java SE Development Kit (jdk-7-windows-i586.exe)
Which i have downloaded from following Link.

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-se-jdk-7-download-432154.html[^]

After installing it When i run SDK Manager.exe then it's running well.
