Virtual key code and scan code are not working in specific application

Hello,
I'm trying to send the escape key by SendInput to an application called Screenpresso (Image capturing tool). The escape key cancels the action.

What i don't understand is that it only works if i press the escape key on my keyboard (german) or the virtual keyboard in Windows 10.

(When i'm testing SendInput within the CMD console it works and removes the entered letters.)

What could it be that i can't do it by code and is there a solution that it could be done?

Both is working in CMD console (Virtual Key Code and Scancode).

The support answered this but it's not the case (https://www.screenpresso.com/de/support/hot-keys/). It's installed in Program Files so it's not a Security Problem?!

You need to ask Screenpresso, they are the only people who know how their application works.
