How to insert data into database from a listview

Hi dere,

I have a listview with 2 columns and 3 rows.

ItemName,Price as 2 column and 2 datas are there like;
Rice,20.00
Oat,30.00

I have to insert these 2 data to database by clicking the save button.

so how to do this,i dont understand.Please sumbody help me.

( Sound like: I have a car and the engine does not work - any help ... )
Please offer some more deatails about the problem -
Which kind of database (SQL server etc) , a new table, columns rows of an existing table ?? Do you have an exististing dataset ?
than maybe someone can help you

i am using sql server 2005.n i have to save ds 2 row data to database.

n ya it'll save to a new table.
if i save Rice and Oat then it'll save bth ds items n its price.
hope u undrstnd ds time
