using Open XML to insert style,fonts,paragraphs,images in word template

Hi All,
Can anyone out there help and provide some sample code for using open xml concept to populate word doc 2010 template.
I want to populate some mail merge columns in template.
Also need to insert paragraphs,page-breaks,images at particular position.set the fonts and background color of headings,etc.

Anyone out there???
