Solution 1

You can't convert a dll into a project. The dll is a result from one previous project.

In the other hand you can reference to the DLL that contains the control that you need.

Hope it helps, but your question is fuzzy.

Which is your level protection of your control class? May be you cannot see it because is private or protected. Let me know.
