validations on textbox

I have taken 3 textboxes one for name and width and height.
validations for height and width textboxes for taking double values,integer values and doesnot take string values.plz send me code for this scenario

Height and Width... of what? The text boxes themselves? Why? What is a problem? You don't know how to parse a string into numeric data, handle failure? handle invalid values? Anything else?
