Hi,

Some PC on the network does not repond to multicast address..when i do ping ff02::01
ethereal shows EchoReply only for some PCs only..I cound not see the reply from that PC that is on...

Operating systems? Linux, OSX, Windows XP, Server 2003, Vista, 7?
Firewalls, routers, switches?
Are you talking about Pragmatic General Multicast (PGM)? http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3208

most of the time the firewall is to blame for this and as there is not much to go on here i'll leave it at that; check the firewall settings.

Without any idea of th network topology and related configuration whatever thing can be possible

Fire wall is turend off...

Command used is : ping ff02::01 from command prompt...

it shows some PC ipaddresses, not all..
