pack validity check in sql server 2008

I have Two table in my databse, where first table has pack validity and second table has pack purchase field of datetime datatype. as i have pack validity 24 hours from the time of purchase i belevive i have to use dateDiff fuction and calulate time span beteem them. I need some help bcoz its not going well.
