quoting an attribute value in XML

Quick one: I was under the impression that attribute values have to be contained in double quotes. I read somewhere that single quotes are acceptable. Is this correct?

OK. More checking. Apparently single quotes are valid. There you go, that's what I learnt today. Never seen it before.
