what is the exact reason of this problem(cannot insert without a primary key)??

LINQ uses the primary key for fetching and updating without it, it would not know which record to update or fetch etc.

That shouldn't stop it inserting, though. Insertion doesn't require a key.

I have a doubt,I think in the insert command execution, there is only a row addition.But where is the update command execute in Linq data insertion(InsertOnSubmit())?? I think just add row to that table..
Do we need a primary key in table updation???
