connect MS access from C#.net without installing office

Hi,
I am scratching my head for two days when my client said that I have no Ms Office and I do not want to install it .The problem was my application was using Ms Access as the bac-end db . Is it possible to connect the C#.net application with .mdb file without installing access or Office.

Solution 1

What you need to do is install MDAC components[^].

The installer can be picked up here[^]. Using the jet engine component from the setup should do the trick for you.
