OK, I have asked in many places for a solution to this issue that I can`t solve, yet no one gave me a straight answer.

I`ll explain my application in brief.

My application will work using a simple built-in database for character mapping. I have done most of my application. Now, when the user types a string it is automatically converted to another based on the input. I want to assign a Hot Key for the user to use when he/she wants to use the application. For example, CTRL+ALT+3 to restore the application. That's nearly all.

Now, when I don`t know what to use and how to use the method. I need your assistant experts.

This works with Letters only, how can I use Digits? And this only works when the application is focused. I want to use the hot key to minimize/restore the application.

BTW, this didn`t work with me. If this helps, I`m using windows 7 and the application will run on XP. It is a private app.

@sikas_C++:
First, there is no difference between letters and digits. Use digits in the same way. I don't even understand what's your problem. Also, I don't see a reason why it does not work.
You can make a simplest possible code to show your problem (please don't post all your real code, make a simple prototype just to show the problems).
