extract network speed

Hi everyone

I am using internet from the college LAN and i am unable to get the speed because of many users. is there any way i can get maximum speed so that i can use skype otherwise it disconnects in less than 1 min or any other way so that atleast my skype work without disconnected.

No, there isn't. You are completely at the mercy of the campus network and it's capacity limitations.

Adding to Dave's reply, having a good speed depends mostly on these factors: How to Increase the Speed of Your Internet Connection[^]. But as said, you don't have control on most of them.
