HELLO,
MY CASE , I HAVE DATA AS BELOW

NAME

AA
BB
CC
DD
AA

THEY ARE ALL IN ONE PARTICULAR COLUMN DISPLAYED IN REPORT.
I WANT TO KNOW HOW CAN I DISPLAY THE OCCURRENCE OF EACH LIKE THE BELOW FORMAT..

AA * 2

KINDLY PROVIDE A FORMULA TO DISPLAY AS ABOVE

What I have tried:

I TRIED SUMMARIZE BUT ITS BECOMING A PAIN BECAUSE I HAVE TO WRITE THE SAME FOR ALL,

LIKE FOR AA ,BB,CC ETC

Solution 1

1) Create a group on name
2) In group footer get the count of the records repeated.
3) create a formula to concatenate the name and count of name as per your requirement
{name} &"'*'"& {Count of record}
for eg

in group footer
Name count
AA 2 AA * 2
