Could not load file or assembly system.data.sqlserverce version=3.5.0.0 - trying to find excat DLL

Hi There,

I have an application on windows mobile 6.5, which at a specific point throws the error:

Could not load file or assembly System.Data.SqlServerCe Version=3.5.0.0 ....

The device has SQL Server ce installed but it seems the app is looking for that specific dll version. There is the same dll in the app folder but of a different version.

I have been trying to find the System.Data.SqlServerCe.dll Version=3.5.0.0 but cannot anywhere?

Any ideas?

Installed SQL server CE on the device, tried various dlls in the app folder but could not find the version 3.5.0.0

Sounds like the App is hardly wired to this version.

First approach is to find and install the exact version. It sounds like it is the net-framework 3.5.

Second: get another version of the app which is requesting the dll.

Windows Mobile is really outdated and should be replaced with some new hardware.
