fsm from event sequence

Hi,

I have a sequence of event numbers
that had happened and I want an
automata/FSM to be built from these
event sequence to observe the patten of
evnet sequence. This can also be related
to construction of a regular expression from the
event sequence. Could you suggest a package
that just takes the input and gives the output.
