hello,

I am printing receipts in my asp.net website. i want the receipts to cut automatically after printing. I need the code snippet for printer auto cutting.

Solution 1

I think you will have to contact the printer manufacturer to get information on how to do that.

Normally you have to send an escape charater to the port where you have the printer attached.

The manufacturer will most likely be able to supply you with sample code on how to do that...

You are rigth the manufacturer will provide the characters list for printer but not the code. I have the characters list but i need to function.

Then you need to look at Serial or Parallel communication depending on how the printer is connected. How do you print text to the printer? You should be able to just print the escape character the same way you print "normal" text"...
