I have searched the code project for an answer but I could not find. I am working with vs 2010 creating a website, when I copied the folder which contains the project to a different pc which has the same vs 2010

I get this error:
It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS .

Can anybody guide me please?

Generally this happens when you have more than one Web.Config file in your application root folder.
Just check if you have more than one. If so, remove the duplicate copies.
