Could anyone please help with example code on how to create a dropdown list within a listview column.
i.e
If I have a listview which displayed the following(Name being one column and Access being the second):
Name Access
-------------------
Simon User
Bob User
Fred Admin
John User
But I wanted it so when the user identifies the Access column a dropdown list appears displaying 'User' and 'Admin'
Example of code would be greatly appreshiated.

The crudest way to acheive this is to place a combobox over the listview to give the appearance of a dropdown list in the listview cell. It can work pretty well. I've emailed you the solution as it is a bit long to post here.
If anyone else wants it in the future, post here and i will email it.

sorry but im still having the same problem ..
error saying "Can't Access CDO.Message object" i tried it on another pc ... but the same error has occured ..

i typed ..
mail.yalla.com

but it didn't work ..
i tried 127.0.0.1 as the smtp server ..
but nothing happend ..
i hope that the solution for this problem .. isn't to leave programing .. waiting for your reply

Just wondering how i would go about opening the current users My Documents Folder in an explorer window from a button. I dont want to hard code the path as it wont work if people have redirected it to another location.
Any help would be appreciated.

in the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
the personal key in there provides the path to the mydocuments folder the value is %USERPROFILE%\My Documents

I am trying to use MSHTML without the webbrowser and I am having a few problems. Right now all I am trying to do is load an URL(html page) and access its innerhtml.
What I have is:

It seems like I am able to load the url correct (ran a packet sniffer), however, I cannot figure out how to detect that it has completed. I looked in the web and there were some old examples using:
While d2.readyState <> "complete"
DoEvents
End While
But when I tried it started using 100% of the cpu and it never ended.
Any suggestions/ideas? Also can you point me to any good tutorials that explain how to use of mshtml and vb.net

Hi, i am using vb6 to read paragraph by paragraph in microsoft word. i am encountering a problem in retrieving the style name of the Number list. eg;
in my xxx.doc:
1. First paragraph
a. Second paragraph
i. Third paragraph
ii. Fourth paragraph
b. Fifth paragraph
...
i would like to know the style Number list in each paragraph.i.e. i want to know if the style of the paragraph is 1, 2, 3, ... or a, b, c, ... or even i, ii, iii... can someone please help me? Thank you very much

I am creating a program in which I need to be able to access files on the mobile device when it is cradled. I can naviate to them using windows explorer but can't seem to do it programatically. Is there a control or a process that I can use to allow me to do this? I can't use ActiveSync because I am dealing with a number of devices and ActiveSync want to create a new folder for every device.
Any who can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Add the wshruntimelibrary (windows script host object model) reference - use the filesystemobject to do the copy, use the filesystemwatcher to monitor a directory for changes and then you can get it to automatically do whatever you like when a file is added, deleted, changed,etc.,

Is it possible to disable all, or most keys out for a short time(1 sec)?
I am using a sendkeys statement, and wonder if disabling key strokes, will disable the sendkeys too.
I overcame the pesky focus problem with a simple do event.
I want to disable key input, during this procedure:

appid = shell("app.exe", 1)
appactivate appid
sendkeys "{tab}yup!{enter}{F4}"
exit do
loop
Is much smaller and actually more effective than the Dan Appleman reference for putfocus/setfocus in "Guide to the Win32 API". Thanks Balena!

Timer in vb.net works in milliseconds , setting the timer on 1000, you get 1 second per tic. Thus one minute is 60 seconds -> timer set on 60000 wil tic by one minuets, timer set on 600 will count 100 tic per minute.
