Set up a EN_SELCHANGE handler function for the first edit control. In that handler function, add characters to the second edit control.

Hello Friends,
Do anybody have an idea where can we download VC++ Decompliers. My friend has send some .exe file, and the program has been written in VC++ only. I want to decompile so that I can get an idea about the program.

you cannot decompile an executable to a human readable format, the BEST you can have is a very partial view of one small part of a method somewhere in assembler.
you will have something like, oh, here the original compiler decided to put some value in a register, and check it and branch somewhere to anther adress, and mult with the value pointed by the memory adress offseted by another registry value ...
me think it's useless...
the best to get an idea about a program is to go about it the other way ... start from higher level, how did the programmer do to make such and such optimal feature.

Dear Neelesh,
Im also looking for similar decompiler. My friend Bill Gates has given me a copy of his program [windows xp professional] for a nice price, which was written using VC++ compiler. If anyone can give me a VC++ decompiler i could see the source of Windows XP and learn it more easily.

if you hae the full key name ( e.g. HKEY_CURENT_USER/... ) you need to go to the deepest common root, and brute search from there; otherwise, I think it's brute force search with the usual registry API.

iam making a registry back up program
where i want to find an algorithm or function to get my item by item from the registry files till the end of the files .
assumption that i dont know the name of the keys .
like what happen when you search the hard disk using "*.*"
i want the same effect on the registers.

many ways are there like sending message with parameter as required data etc.
one direct way is
dlg_Two.data1 = dlg_One.data1;

I would like to explain my problem.
I made two dialog boxes(dlg1 and dlg2). dlg1 contains one text box and one command button (Click).dlg2 contains only one text box for display value.
I want to do that,when I press the Click button then dlg2 should be called and displayed the value of text1 of dlg1 in textbox of dlg2.
How to do that?

There are loads of examples of button controls. You may need to take code from a couple of sources in order to achieve what you want but it is all there.

dear all,
i want to know whether POSITION of a element in a CList will be the same or not after below operation.(so that, i can get back target element after these operation)
first i saved POSITION of a element in CList.
then, i do below operation.
1. insert new element b4 target element.
2. delete element b4 target element.
3. insert new element after target element.
4. delete element after target element.
anyone can help?

I don't know of a way. I don't even know a place where Windows reports the drive's interface. Applications typically don't care about such low-level details.

please help me to write a service prg with dependencies.
i have written two window service .. which run properly.
but when i try to link the first service with other one .. it arise an error 1083
i have given the name of the "second service " has my dependence in create service();
what else i have to do ???????
please send me sample program ....
