I got A CTime member in my programm( m_time). And i got a string in the file : 2004-10-10. So i want to input this data to the m_time. How to do it?

Note: this is just from the top of my head. Im not a datetime conversion expert.

If you know the format of the date-string, just extract the year, month and day part from the string, convert it to ints using _itot and use m_time = CTime(year,month,day,0,0,0)

If you dont know the format, or if its regional-dependant:

DWORD dwFlags = LOCALE_NOUSEROVERRIDE|VAR_DATEVALUEONLY;
DATE d = 0.0;
USES_CONVERSION;
HRESULT hr = VarDateFromStr((LPOLESTR)T2COLE(str), 0, dwFlags, &d);

m_time = CTime(d.GetYear(), d.GetMonth(), d.GetDay(),0,0,0);
}

if you know the regional-format of the string you can skip LOCAL_NOUSEROVERRIDE, and pass in a LCID using that format to VarDateFromStr.

So i did it :
m_time = CTime(year,month,day,0,0,0);
but if i pass next:
CTime(2004,9,20);
i got in m_time.GetYear() - 2009, m_time.GetDay() - 23, so everything is wrong. Where can be the problem?

Conversion file format

I am currently working in a mobile industry company. Currently our company needs a DLL or tools that can do some file conversion.

The file format that want to convert are:
1. mmf to midi
2. mp3 to amr
3. mp3 downgrading (to reduce the size of MP3)
4. mp3 to wav
5. mp3 to mfm

(note: the intra conversion dll's in the same order as mentioned above also required)

Does anyone of you know where to get this kind of resource or SDK in order me to do development
So please feel free to update me with further information to get this kind of SDK or DLL.

eVB Winsock Control

Hi all,

I have a Pocket PC connected to a mobile printer by the serial port. How do I use the Winsock control in eVB to send a text file to the printer. Can anyone point me to some introductory tutorials into this control? I have configured the Text file with the relevent printer commands.

Hi All,
I am developing an application using eVC++ 3.0 under Pocket PC 2002.
I am using Microsoft ActiveSync 3.7.1 running on P 4 Dell Machine (windows XP), I have encountered the following problems:
1. When The emulator starts it may restarts the machine.
2. If the emulator started without restarting the machine and I wish to either execute the program (Using Ctrl + F5) or debug the program, the eVC++ either tell me that it could not establish the connection stream or it may restart the machine.
3. We can not upload or configure CEFusion (ADO proxy for windows CE) automatically (using eVBasic), we have to manually transfer files using the remote file viewer, then to register all the dlls manually then to configure the cefusion.

Given that on P 3 IBM Machine (windows 2000 or XP) the emulator works fine and on the DELL machine we can debug on a Physical Pocket PC 2002 (not the emulator).

If any one have an idea about solving the problem (but without upgrading to eVC++ 4.0), Please advice me.

Hi, I use nokia 9210i as my mobile phone. I have some problem since yesterday. When someone call me and I did not answer the phone, there is no Miss call in my phone screen. I try to use another phone call to my phone and terminate it, it still don't have the word appear on the screen "Miss call". I don't know why I have this problem.
On the other hand, when i open its cover and want to use the message, i press on the message button and its display an error message "Problem starting Messaging center, Unknown Error". Then it close this program, I don't know what is the real reason but I'm very upset to this issue. Does anybody know how to solve this problem? or any idea? Cry | :((

Finally I could find the solution. I just turn off my phone, remove the battery, SIM card and memory card for a while. Then I plug it in again, then everything is working fine. The miss call label display if someone call me and I did not pick up, and the message program could access very easy. But I lost all of my message that I used to send and recieve before Cry | :((

. However, it is working again Smile | :)

I got A list controll with a report style. And i want programmatically select any item (With highlighting), so how to do it? Actually i want to implement search ability to my list ctrl. For example I got in the list ctrl this: Mr. Joe Satriani, in the search dialog user writes Satr, and my list ctrl will set the cursor to the item. And i use virtual list - does it metter? Any help will be appreashiated.

You may have de-select previously selected items, just pass 0 as the second argument to SetItemState in that case.

Thank you, i selected the item i need.
But when my Item is out of window, and i want it to be shown? What to do in that case? For example i got 1000 elements, and my list shows only 20 items, but item i found is 720. I want my listctrl jumped on this item.

use CListCtrl::EnsureVisible or CListCtrl::Scroll to make sure the listctrl is showing your item.

hi,when I run my application i keep having this error:

Error trying to run your project : Unable to start debugging.

but it Build and Deployed succesfuly........whats going on here?! Confused | :confused:

And I can't run my application directly to my device, it always says that the device is not connected, but it is!!!! Confused | :confused:

And how can i make my form resize everytime i push the input pannel (keyboard) like what the calendar application can do?! thanks guyz, im kinda new to this!! Poke tongue | ;-P
