Press the delete key - NOTHING
Select Edit->Delete - NOTHING
Right click on the shortcut and select "Delete" - NOTHING
Great, so how do you delete one of these???

I used .net to build a gui, but the GUI was managed code. I'l like to get away from managed code by using win32. But the GUI builder doesn't seem to want to build a MDI User Interface? Am I missing something, are the preferences set incorrectly? What's the best way to build a GUI in Native C++ on a win2000 machine?

I recently installed visual studio .net 2003 on my laptop that also has visual studio 6.0 installed.
When I invoked the help/search menu option and search for 'anything', it returns a list of search results in the 'Search Results' but the Title column contains a list of Titles each containing the single letter 'a'.
I suspect this might be a compatibility issue between vs 2003 and and artifacts left over from previous installs; I shudder to think about uninstalling and then re-installing all the current 2003 tools/toolkits, etc. I have on my machine.
Before I attempt this nightmare, I thought I'd ask around and see if someone ran into this problem and might have found a simple solution.
I looked on the internet for a solution, but so far I've had no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HI~
using C# compact framework, How can I:
1.add items in the start menu of pocket pc
2.add items in "new" in task bar in today screen of pocket pc
3.add an icon in the taskbar of the today screen of pocket pc. A menu appear when the user click the icon.

I don't exactly understand ur question.
All web projects has to use the system.web
namespace to run as a web app.
U can use Ildasm.exe provided by .net framework
and check its mainfest if u see something like
.assembly extern System.Web u can know that it is
supposed to be deployed as a web app else win app.

Hi,
I'm developing an extended stored procedure using the native C++. The
mentioned xp is supposed to create a dataset and archive the related data.
You know, to develop an xp, you've to export a function in your DLL file, a
function that receive a pointer of SRV_PROC as its formal parameter.
The question is that how can I pass the mentioned pointer (SRV_PROC *) into
the managed C++. Since, there's no documentation about the subtle nuances of
how SRV_PROC is defined, I cannot also use the Marshal::PtrToStructure
function.
It would be highly please if you could help me on this.

What happens is that i made a application on my home computer, when i borught it to my friend's house, and after installing the same .net framework there, application was just messed up...all forms and controls there were messed up...the location and size argument was changed
sam problem happened to me when I reinstalled my windows...i put same win version XP SP1a, same Visual Studio .net 2003, and same .net framework 1.1...but the forms are now just fuc*ed up, no matter i start the already compiled exe, or I open the project for editing from VS...
please help me...don;t know what to do...
how to fix this problem...?
P.S. I'm writing in C#...

In Visual Studio, add a web reference using the WSDL reference. Double-click the reference in the Solution Explorer and expand amazon.com.amazon.soap in the Object Browser to marvel at the abundance of classes you can now use.

I certainly can use FieldInfo to see the root objects fields and data, but then I need to move into the contained object. Thats where I am stuck.
Type t = o.GetType();
FieldInfo[] fi = t.GetFields();
foreach (FieldInfo field in fi)

But, now....how to reflect into the "fields"?
These might be collections (Hashtables, ArrayLists, etc.) and/or other complex objects.
Basically, I want to create an object model viewer and put it in a tree view.

Does the restriction for calling controls from threads outside the thread in which they were created, the parent form thread, apply to custom components as well?
If the answer is yes, is this documented any where? I'm having a hard time finding it.
The reason I ask is that I get some weird behavior if I call the methods in a custom component outside the thread in which it was created.

Hi everyone,
I have a problem and im not sure if it's because visual studio is a buggy piece of crap or what. Anyhow its pretty straight forward. I am creating a web application, and dropping my web control on the aspx page. The problem is that when i run the page and click the button, an event is fired and in turn executes the code in the Click event block, but this is not the case. So im wondering what the hell is happening here. What i did was simple. In the .aspx file, i manually modified the following line
<asp:imagebutton>id="blah" runat="server" onClick="btn_submit_Click">
the onClick property is exactly how the studio created it in the .cs file when i dropped the image control. Finally I had to change the signature of the event function from private to protected since the aspx is inherited from the aspx.cs file. Does anyone have any idea why that happens. I have been developing with .NET for some years now and had this happen to me for the first time.

Hi
I'm having some problems understanding how to create .NET menu shortcuts, if they are too "complex" to members of the Windows::Forms::Shortcut Enum.
(see See link on MSDN)
For example - "Ctrl+Z" is Windows::Forms::Shortcut::CtrlZ but "Alt+Z" is not a member so I don't know how to assign it.
How do you change this MFC line of code to the shortcut "Ctrl+Alt+Right" ?
VK_RIGHT, ID_GOTO_SYNC_TARGET, VIRTKEY, CONTROL, ALT, NOINVERT

Found a way to do this using the KeyEventArgs Class, and check every possible combination of keys I link to every time a key is pressed 
Does anyone know a better way?
If not - does anyone know how to do this without overriding the Windows::Forms::Shortcut stuff?
That is, check if the "KeyPress" evaluates to a menu shortcut not in the Windows::Forms::Shortcut Enum (e.g. "Ctrl+Alt+Z") and if not - use the Windows::Forms::Shortcut (e.g. "Ctrl+Z").
Comments - anyone ?

This is a question about this error I got when I converted from VC6 to VC.NET. Apparently though the tooltip tells me there is an overloaded function that takes 8 parameters so I'm rather confused as to why this error crops up?

i am trying to configure the c++.net with directshow. when i build my application i got linking errors. i know i have to set property pages of C++ project which i did. i did put the path for my directx sdk in additional include directioies but i have to put the path for the libraries in the linker . i don't know which path i have to put there. is it the same????

I develop a tool using C#.
I tried to get and use object in main thread from sub thread, I could do. The sub thread created using Thread class.
I changed object value in main thread, I tried to get and use new value. I thought sub thread get changed value.
But sub thread couldn't get changed value.
I tried to use Monitor class, timer class etc, but I couldn't
solve this problem.
