Yes, it is slow. Alone bringing up this page took me getting on to 10 minutes, which is painfully slow for a broadband internet connection. But it fluctuates: Some articles take ages to display, while others display at once. Maybe it's connected to time of day...
BTW I'm accessing the site from the UK with a 1.5 mb broadband connection.

When I connect from home it is a 0.5Mb broadband connection, when at work it is a faster connection but I'm not sure what it is. I am also in the UK.
Some pages are slower than other to display - but, as far as I can see, this is more predominant when North America wakes up.

Yes, it is slow for me too. I'm in the USA on a fast office lan connection. My guess is this site has grown quickly because it's such a great site and they've out grown their current host.

Here Our Country and Language (Myanmar Burmese) is not supported microsoft window or any other OS. We have our own language, character, text, sort order, compare method and so on. But I, an idiot, have no idea to build an localized application without any OS sited NLS or something else. I want to know how to build .NET localized application for non OS national language support for our language EXACTLY.
We have our own font, unicode space, and ... HELP ME.

This is, in my opinion, one of the major shortcomings of the .NET Framework as it currently stands. You cannot develop localised applications for cultures that it does not support without some major reworking of the existing framework or building your own framework to support it.
And, by the way, you should probably post this on one of the programming forums - you might get a better response.

what i mean is we need to think little ahed than hacker on the time of development.
We do't need to hack or no need to hack hackers.
But we need to think better than hackers. that's it.

Well if we think ahead of the hackers the hackers will see that we are trying to outsmart them and figure out what their next move will be so they will do something else that we didn't think of and then they will eventually succeed.
This is similar to terrorists. Most countries try to outsmart terrorists by working out what their next move will be and to block it. It means that many times the terrorist won't succeed, but they will keep trying and eventually they may actually strike.
I do not mean that we should just give up and let the hackers (or terrorists) free reign, however we must remain alert at all times and to block any avenues that appear to open for them. Sadly, they do win sometimes.

This is sometimes done, but hackers usually find ways around most things programmers do to *try* and stop them.

First of all, this is the best site that I go to. I get more help from this site (trying to provide what my small amount of knowledge I have myself along the way) than from any other site I've been to. There's one suggestion I have that would make it easier in my opinion and allow for better help. Sometimes I'll start a thread and two or three people will respond, but none of them have the answer. When I'm looking for threads to answer to, I usually look for ones with 0-1 replies thinking that it must've been resolved already. So when some 2 or 3 people reply to my post I think that other programmers that do know the answer might assume that my problem must've been resolved because they see a few replies. I think there should be a way to mark a thread as 'Resolved' so that if it's not, I (or a better qualified programmer) will know that that person still needs help. People should still be able to answer the thread if they have something to add, but that way people who still need help won't get looked over.
I'm not the brightest programmer in the world, so this might not be the brightest idea in the world. Besides, I don't know how hard it would be to implement. Just thought I'd offer a suggestion to a site that has helped me so much.!!

While some people will use this mechanism - I think there are a lot of people who will just not mark their query as resolved because they are lazy or asked a question then disappeared or, most sadly, asked a question that is currently beyond their comprehension but refuse to admit it and want people to post source code without wanting to take the time to understand how it works.
It the mechanism were opened so that anyone could mark a thread as resolved then the system is open to abuse.
I hope I didn't sound too negative - I agree that it would be good to have some sort of mechanism so that resolved queries are so.
