Get the difference of it, store it in a variable and just check it out. Average is usually < 30ms. I usually assume 30ms and base my calculations on that. If actual results differ, then I look into it more closely. You can use the SQL profiler tool that comes with SQL Server to monitor queries and how long they are taking. I would HIGHLY recommend that you get to know the registry BY HAND before you start poking around it with code. If you don't know what your doing and what the registry value types are, you really can't write code for it without risking irreversable damage to the registry and possibly the ability to even boot Windows. But, for an idea on how to write your own functions to create keys and values and read them, see this[^] article on MSDN. Also, there is this[^] article on here CodeProject. My application is finished and is compiling very well. However, when I'm trying to do the setup, it tells me that I'm missing a dependency for ADODB (mscorlib version 1.0.3300.0 and that should be in framework 1.0, I think) The only version that I found on my pc was mscorlib 1.5 (framework 1.1). Wherever I looked on the Internet, I couldn't find the right version. Is there anybody who could tell me where I could find it, or is there a mean to make my application work with version 1.5 ? Then, if your app was developed on the .NET Framework 1.1, make sure that is installed. If your app was developed on .NET 1.0 install that. It is a smart tag(I beleave).This seems to work just for build in types. I would like to extend this functionality. And also other fun features would be possible. Currently, it's just a simple tool tip that that appears when the IDE is in debug mode and it detects that your hovering over a variable that is in scope. The ToolTip shows value types and simple reference types, like String. Beyond that... Actually, what your thinking of doing is already being done in Visual Studio 2005. It's called a DataTip. You'll be able to create you own Viewer Helper classes that can display objects however you want. See this[^] for the full story. I have ListID as the primary key (autonumber). I need to find a way of returning this number once I have saved the first part of the record, as on the next page I save some other fields of the same record. Does anyone have any ideas?
