I am getting the error - "Undefined Index Job_Code, Account_Code, welfare_tag & Amount"
in the following code (PHP & MYSQL).

first off:
$row = mysql_fetch_assoc($res);
$job_code = $row['job_code'];
$account_code = $row['account_code'];
$welfare_tag = $row['welfare_tag'];
$amount = $row['amount'];
is a neater way to write the code
i think ur error is coming in from the case of the variable names ... always use lower case for everything ... it makes life simpler in the long run trust me

I am working on a website in which i have to provide printing to the user. It is basically a report which user can print.
The problem i am facing is the report is coming with Horizontal and Vertical bars i mean its a big report i use window.print() command for printing this report but it only print a single page i mean only the area which is coming in current window rest report is not printed.
Please suggest me what i can do in this scenerio and its very urgent.

I am working on a problem wherein I have following requirement.
1) I need to control the access to the business logic through a webservice which logs the request with details like IP Address/Date-Time/ Authentication etc.
2) The buiness logic needs to run at Client side as it involves lot of data which the client wouldnt want to be exposed over the net.
Can I implement this by executing the Web Service Locally on the client side ? Or is there any other better way to achieve this. I am struck at this and need help.

I am not sure what you need to do...
For sure you can create secure web services.
You can also consume the web service from the client by using the web service behaviour or XMLHTTP.
The web service behaviour is a nice API but I think that it only works on IE and not on Netscape or Opera.

Right, to set the scene, I am creating a website for my partner to sell Floral Arrangements.
Now when certain events crops up, i.e. Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Easter, etc, we would like a reminder to appear. No problem.
The problem is, the dates for the events change each year, and can't think of a logical way in code to determine the date automatically, as Easter for example falls on a different date each year.
Do any of you know of a way to calculate when Special Occasion dates occur each year?
Any suggestions?

Hi
First you should make a list of all the special days you are interested in, and then do a Google search on how to calculate when is each one. For example, Easter, is the Sunday following the Paschal Full Moon (PFM) date for the year; Mother's Day is always the second Sunday of May and so on. There is a way to calculate each an every one of them.

I am trying to figure out what the best method for reading files to a single ASP page would be. I have used includes to read different text files to different cells on the ASP page. This works fine When I try the second method that is used as an example on this site I can only use the code for reading one file at a time.
Any suggestions as to what would work better would be appreciated.

You have called function "ShowMe" at ClientSide. Actually "ShowMe" is ServerSide function. You cannot acheive your functionality like this way.

You cannot call ASP function from client side. You can submit the form and then in the next page, call "ShowMe" function.

Hi, does anyone know how to get the message from yahoo mail box into outlook express or ms outlook? i have seen that hotmail can do that because it supply server url automatically. But for option other in ms outlook they ask use to provie server url (if you not choose hotmail). Does anyone know the server url of yahoo inbox? Because I need to get the message from my yahoo mail box to outlook express or ms outlook.

1. In a HTML Page, accessed from Database (mysql) and displayed in the browser
2. I need to have a button to hightlight selected portions (using mouse selection) of the HTML text. Same button should be able to dehighlight the selected text.
3. I need to show all the Highlighted texts in a separate window.
4. If required, I need to save the HTML Page accessed from the Database to be saved again with the Highlighted text.

Over the past few months, I've been seeing more full featured tools for working in Dot Net, and they're open source. Everything from the DotNetNuke portal (Which I'm currently playing with to see what it can do) to a full IDE! This is above and beyond all of the bits of code, "modules", and sample pages illustrating how to do things. What I have noticed is that you really have to dig to find them. Meaning that most of the forums like this one are not be fully used by this whole apparently separate community.
Anyone have thoughts on why this is, how we could better link all of our resource groups, or if it's even a good idea?
BTW - It may already be common knowledge, but here's the link to the O.S. .Net IDE.

You should be able to find alot of stuff there.
Dont forget that .NET has been around only for a few years, compared to Java and PHP...

How can I call a code behind from a javascript code in an aspx page?

I'm using a java applet that paints a table-base database grid and running it on apache server. It works fine but after 2-3 hours of reloading (which initializes and draws the applet again to show the DB's most recent data), the browser will not render the applet.
When I put my mouse over the applet, I see a java.lang.outofmemory error.
The work-around is to open and close the browser(which kills the JVM instance).
How can I prevent this? Or better yet, how I can I flush the JVM's memory so that every time I repaint the applet, the JVM's stack will not overflood.
BTW, memory increase will only increase the time it takes for the applet to crash but I'd rather flush it when I refresh the browser somehow.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to do a nested Repeater where I have two tables, one is my region and second is the projects table. There's a foreign key in the projects table for region. I am doing an inner join in my stored procedure and I need the data to be displayed like this:
Region 1
strDate strTitle strContent

strDate strTitle strContent
Region 2
strDate strTitle strContent

Not like this:

The problem is that all the samples build the relation in the code behind, where as mine is done in the stored procedure doing a inner join. If someone could show me how to do this I would really appreciate it!!!
